| The
Lerro 1955: Music Teacher's House
The Lerro 1955 3-room single-story house
has been furnished and decorated as the home of a music teacher.
The dollhouse was sold by BRIO. Original wallpaper, but modern paper
floors have been laid over the original damaged floors---the new
paper is not glued down, preserving the original.
Curtains in the bedroom and kitchen are
made from pieces of Swedish cupboard-shelf trims donated by Elisabeth---easy
to work with since they have sticky backs!
Furniture, etc.: Bed is an original BRIO
wooden bed with original bedding and other furniture is a mixture
of old Lundby and Lerro. Tea set is German, small baskets were made
by Tina Stuve, and the music instruments are modern hobby-store
purchases. The handle on the old coffee grinder actually turns.
The picture in the bedroom is of the
Swedish musician Carl Michael Bellman; the original was painted
in 1779 by Per Krafft and the little copy was made by Patricia and
mounted in a Lundby frame.
Dolls: Music teacher is CACO and the
2 children are Erna Meyer.
