Pesach!
This is the Lundby family celebrating Pesach holiday . The whole family got together -- they had to use 2 dining-room tables. With all the grandparents -- including Saba Greenbo wearing his tallit and kippah (he led the seder service), Savta Jacqueline with her head covered, great-grandmother Savta Hannah with her hat on, Grandpa David, Grandma Martha, and even Oma Chavah and Opa Joop, who came all the way from Holland -- and of course all the children and grandchildren. You can see the Shabbat candles, the Manischewitz kosher wine, the kiddush cup, the seder plate with all the ceremonial items on it -- including Maror ( bitter herbs), parsley,Charoset (chopped apples and nuts), and a roasted egg. The matzot are out on the table, and there are three in the matza tasch (enbroidered bag). There is even a Haggadah (the book we read at the Passover Seder) like one I actually have by artist Leonard Baskin. And don't forget the empty chair and cup for Elijah the prophet, who is expected to arrive and announce the coming of the Messiah.....
