Lauras underbara dockhus - påskdekorerat! Har ni sett ett så underbart hus? Jag älskar hembyggda dockhus - det är dockskåpet fick Laura i julklapp 1966 - byggt av hennes pappa!
It's not a Lundby house, Laura's Dad built it for her Christmas present in 1966, and Laura is so glad that she discovered Lundby because it fits perfectly!
House-wall panel slides out and roof panels lift off.
All the architectural details, railings, trellis, doors, fireplace, stonework, tiles, windows etc. were built by her father.

Köket - Mormor låter barnen dekorera ägg så hon får tid att göra påskkakor.
Påskkakorna är en present från en väninna, äggkorgen och kopparna med färg är från en dockskåpsaffär och Laura har gjort gardinerna och plantupphängningen i makramé.

Kitchen - Grandma is keeping the children busy decorating eggs while she makes Easter cookies (the cookies are a gift from a friend who found them at a miniature show). The egg basket and dye cups came from a dollhouse store in Toronto and Laura made the curtains, and the macrame plant hangers.

Matsalen - det var här allt började!! Här är de första Lundby sakerna Laura köpte från Patricia - de flesta påsksaker kommer från en dockskåpsaffär, och Laura har gjort den fina spetslöparen på matsalbordet. Titta på tavlorna, de som inte är Lundby har Lauras pappa målat!

Dining room - the dining room set started it all! It was the first thing Laura bought from Patricia.
The Easter cake came from the dollhouse store as did most of the other Easter eggs and candies. Laura made the bobbin lace runner on the table. The bread and the flowers are from a little shop near Lauras cottage that sells antiques and collectibles.
All the paintings on the walls and above the fireplace, that are not Lundby, were painted by Lauras Dad!


Vardagsrummet - Mamma och pappa gömmer äggen medan barnen är upptagna i köket med mormor.
Laura har gjort en stickade mattan, lamporna på till soffgruppen och de gröna och gula kuddarna. Chokladkaninen och äggkorgarna är köpta, skrivbordet är en plastmöbel, från Kanada, som Laura målat eftersom den passade in så bra.
Living room - Mum and Dad are hiding the Easter eggs while the kids are busy in the kitchen with Grandma! Laura made the knitted rug, the lamps on the side tables and the green and yellow pillows. The chocolate Easter bunny display on the table is part of the lot was bought from the collectibles shop, as are the Easter baskets. The desk at the far end of the room is a plastic one, Made in Canada. The scale seemed right so Laura painted it and the desk accessories that are molded on it so they look more realistic.

Badrummet - en vän köpte Lundbys nya badrum i San Francisco, det ursprungliga badrummet hade också ett hörnbadkar så det nya badrummet passade perfekt! Tavlan har Lauras pappa gjort och lampan har hon gjort av en tandkrämstub! Handdukshängare och toalettpappershållare är gjort av ståltråd.
Bathroom- a friend bought the new Lundby bathroom set in San Francisco. The old set included a corner tub so this set was a great fit, if not exactly vintage! The painting is Laura Dad's and Laura made the lamp out of that old stand-by...a toothpaste cap! The towel bars and toilet paper holder are made from heavy-gauge wire.
Barnkammaren - Laura har stickat mattan och tillverkat lamporna. Den höga byrån och den lilla bokhyllan tillhör originalmöblerna i plast - och ska bytas på sikt.
Childrens room- Laura has knitted the rug and made the lamps...chess pieces and those toothpaste caps again!
The tall chest of drawers and the side table/bookcase are the original plastic ones. The table on the back wall is one of Laura's old pieces that she didn't realize was Lundby! The toys are all old ones too and some new from her son's Playmobil sets.

Sovrummet - Morfar söker lite lugn och ro på påskaftons morgon, det är Lauras pappa som målar en av sina tavlor.
Sängen är från Lauras mammas dockskåp, från 30-talet, och gjordes av Lauras morfar. Lakanen i sängen och några få andra saker är också från hennes mammas dockskåp. Laura har stickat täcket och garderoben är från hennes barndom.
Master bedroom - The bed belonged in Laura's mother's dollhouse when she was little, circa 1930's. Her Dad made it for her. There are a few more of her pieces throughout the house too. The sheets are hers, made from an old handkerchief , but Laura knitted the blanket and the pillows are drawer sachets! The big wardrobe was Laura's and is a little out of scale but not too bad for now. That's Laura's Dad painting at his easel. "Grandpa" is looking for some peace and quiet on Easter morning!

Uteplats - finns utanför sovrummet. Parasollet är från den ursprungliga inredningen men passar bra till Lundbybordet. Laura har gjort makraméhängaren här också och det stickade överdraget till den gamla liggstolen.
Patio - This patio is off the master bedroom. The umbrella is the original plastic one and while a little small, seems to fit the table okay. Laura made the macrame plant hanger here too, as well as the knitted seat on the old plastic frame deck chair.

Kaninburen är från Lauras barndom gjord av Britains. Otroligt att om man sparar något tillräckligt länge hittar man använing för det igen! Jeepen tillhör Lauras son och han undrar när mamma ska köpa en Lundby bil så han kan få tillbaka sin bil! När inte bilen står i garaget kan barnen spela bordtennis och vårarbetet i trädgården kan starta.
Easter bunnies - The bunny hutch next door on the drive outside the garage is an old one of Laura's, made by Britains. Its amazing how if you keep things long enough you can find a use for them again! The Jeep is one belonging to Laura's son and he wants to know when Mum is going to buy a Lundby car so he can have his back! When the car is out of the garage, the kids can play table tennis and the serious gardening can get underway for Spring.

Till sist - den lilla tvättstugan under trappan. "Monster"-strykjärnet var Lauras mammas, troligen gjord av bly - Laura kommer att byta ut det mot ett Lundby, nästan synd, det är väldigt charmigt !
The last photo is of the little laundry room tucked under the stairs. The monster iron was Laura's mother's as well. It's probably lead, so it will replace it with the Lundby one!
