Lundby 1982 Apartments
 
There are two models of these apartments or room boxes, which can be used any way one wants to arrange them; they are even constructed with special openings for mounting on the wall and there are directions on the carton for this.

Patricia has furnished and decorated this set as an apartment for the new bride and groom. Almost all of the furniture and accessories are Lundby, either available the same year or prior to 1982. One exception is the white wooden bed, which is a newer model; the “Marimekko” bedding was made by Jeannette Andersson (www.janderdesign.se). The dolls were made in Lundby scale by Erna Meyer in Germany. The wrapped package and wedding cake were purchased at a hobby store---the address label on the package says it is from the LLBean store in Maine, where Patricia has worked, so she could not resist using it. The red wine bottle with matching glasses, vases of flowers and extra vases, all came in a little gift package from Germany, with no label attached. The blue ceiling lamp in the kitchen is Brio. An interesting feature of the kitchen is the sink and fridge are in a single unit, the “frigo” section under the sink counter does not open.

The bright-blue kitchen furniture is a rare Lundby production; it is a darker brighter blue than the more common Leksand blue furniture made in the 1970’s. The living-room furniture is also thought to be Lundby; it looks like Lundby “Greta” and is in its original condition, not re-painted, complete with glue residue on the bottom of all the legs!!

Lägenheterna (dockrum) finns i två utföranden, som kan användas på många sätt, på baksidan finns t ex uttag för väggmontering.
Patricia har inrett dessa rum för det nygifta paret. De flesta av möblerna är Lundby 1982 eller tidigare, det enda undantaget är den vita Lundbysängen av senare datum. Marimekko-sängkläderna är från Jeanette Andersson (www.janderdesign.se)
Dockorna är Erna Meyer. Det inslagna paketet och bröllopstårtan är från LLBean store i Maine där Patricia har arbetet och därför inte kunde låta bli att ta med dessa.
Vinflaskor, glas och vas (röd plast) är från Tyskland och kom i en omärkt presentförpackning. Den blå kökslampan är BRIO. Detta Lundbykök är speciellt, t ex så är vasken och kylskåpet en enhet och kylskåpet har ingen öppningsbar dörr.

De klarblå köksmöblerna är en ovanligare uppsättning från Lundby, i en mörkare blåfärg än 70-talets Leksandsmöbler. Vardagsrummet vita ’Greta-möbler’ är med all säkerhet Lundby, det är helt i originalutförande med klisterrester under benen från sin förpackning.
