Rosh Ha Shanah!

Martha bor i Israel och därför firar hennes Lundby family alla judiska högtider.
Här firar Lundbyfamiljen Rosh Ha Shanah.

För att fira Rosh Ha Shanah (det judiska nyåret) har Lundbyfamiljen traditionellt äpplen och honung för ett välbehaglig nyår, och vin och bröd för välsignelse.

På sista bilden kan du också se granatäpplen och en fisk. De ska äta fisk inklusive huvudet så att de kommer att vara "the head and not the tail". Och de äter granatäpple för att föröka sig som frön av granatäpple.

Here is Martha's family celebraiting Rosh Ha Shanah (Jewish New Year ). They have the traditional apples and honey for a sweet New Year and wine and bread for the blessing.

In the last picture you can also see pomegranates and a fish. They are supposed to eat the fish including the head so they will be the head and not the tail. And they eat the pomegranate so they will multiply like the seeds of the pomegranate.
